Device Management

View your devices

You can view the list of devices assigned to your customer account from your Astrocast Dashboard.

  1. Go to the Astrocast Portal.
  2. Click on Devices in the sidebar.
  3. In order to view details of the individual devices, click on on the right of the device. You can find device properties like name, GUID, etc., and manufacturing details appearing on a floating panel.

Edit a device

In order to edit a particular device's properties:

  1. Go to the Astrocast Portal.
  2. Click on Devices in the sidebar.
  3. Click on on the right and select Edit properties.
  4. You can change any of the following properties: Name, Description, Device group and Location (if the device is fixed or stationary).
  5. Click on Update.

Device States

StateDescription
RegisteredThe device is registered on our platform and ready to be used. When the device sends its first message, it will automatically be activated.
ActiveThe device is active. A monthly subscription fee applies.
SuspendedThe device is suspended. A monthly maintenance fee applies. If the device sends a message, it will automatically be re-activated.
TerminatedThe device is retired and no longer used. No monthly fee applies.

Export to CSV

  1. Go to the Astrocast Portal.
  2. Click on Devices in the sidebar.
  3. Use the filters to refine the list of devices.
  4. Click on 📋 to export the list of devices to a CSV file.
  5. Save the file 💾.
